Guideline for the implementation of the Cinema Preservation Package (CPP) in EN 17650

This Technical Report defines guidelines and gives implementation advice how to organize and structure the Cinema Preservation Packageas (CPP) as defined in the European standard EN 17650. It facilitates the digital preservation of cinematographic works. It explains the methods to describe the relationship of components of the cinematographic work and demonstrates the syntax to describe the package content. While EN 17650 defines the structure of the package and specifies the constraints that are necessary to enable compliance and interoperability, this document explains its usage. This documetn demonstrates examples for the structure of the Cinema Preservation Package and the usage of metadata schemes for structural, descriptive, provenance and technical metadata. Examples for METS, EBUCore and playlist files are given in the technical report.
